GUIDELINES: CERVICAL DISC ARTHROPLASTY:

Indications:
 Degenerative disc disease ( herniated disc or spondylosis ) causing neurological compression, radiculopathy or myelopathy, on one or two levels from C3 to T1 after failed conservative therapy or progressive neurological deficit.

Contraindications:

1. Spinal instability.
2. Severe facet arthropathy.
3. Osteoporosis.
4. Infection.
5. Posterior surgery on same level.
6. Ossification of PLL.
7. Rheumatoid arthritis.
8. Ankylosing spondylitis.
9. Primary axial Pain
10. Diffuse idiopathic Hyperostosis
